A dinkum website. Many Aussies don't think of the past because the Poms sent out the first Aussies in chains and shackles - and they'd done no wrong

Ask any Aussie.

I think the website is interesting but I would like to see it expanded with more contributions. I will try to think of one I might be able to offer????

I would bow to anyone who had such a knowledge of the past that they could use it to give a close probability of crucial events in the future. If a person has no knowledge of past events, they would not have clue about what could occur in any future - if there is going to be one!!!

It seems to me that we are going astray in the present time because we are arrogant enough to believe we have nothing to learn from the past. I am curious to know why this indifference to what the past can teach came about. It goes even deeper: history in any depths is no longer a subject considered worthy in our schools.

The past can teach the present many valuable lessons. To know about the past is to really know about the present.
The more the past events are discussed, the more the present will make sense.
